Job Title: Employee Benefits Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Employee Benefits Account Manager to join a growing team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining excellent client relationships, supporting employee benefits programs, and ensuring successful delivery of employee benefits services. As a key point of contact for clients, you will strive to exceed expectations and provide personalized, effective, and efficient account management for a diverse client base.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, delivering proactive service and addressing inquiries related to employee benefit programs.
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Collaborate with the sales and leadership team to onboard new clients and ensure smooth implementation processes.
  • Conduct policy reviews, renewals, and plan updates, providing strategic recommendations tailored to client needs.
  • Act as a liaison with carriers to resolve claims, billing, and eligibility issues efficiently and accurately.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and legislative changes related to employee benefits and provide timely updates to clients.
  • Prepare materials for client meetings, including presentations, reporting, cost analyses, and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain meticulous records, ensuring all client information, policies, and communications are up to date and stored securely.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Account Manager employee benefits sector.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefit programs, insurance plans, and compliance standards (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple accounts, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adept at using agency management software, MS Office Suite, and other relevant tools to manage client accounts efficiently.
  • Holds an active L&H (Life and Health) insurance license.

Compensation Package

  • Compensation: Between $60K-$73K+ (depending on experience).
