Employee Benefits Account Manager Assistant

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Employee Benefits Account Manager Assistant to join a team. This role provides critical administrative support to thr Benefits Account Manager, Benefits Producer, and client base, focusing on group or individual coverage. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of insurance, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This position offers a hybrid work environment after an initial 90-day in-office training period.

Compensation Package

  • Salary: $20 - $22 per hour for non-licensed candidates; up to $55,000 if licensed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Benefits Account Manager and Producer.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation in the agency database.
  • Prepare and input data for quoting through online portals or rating platforms.
  • Verify quotes, insurance policies, and changes for accuracy.
  • Prepare and send renewal documents prior to renewal.
  • Process enrollments, changes, and terminations with carriers, including COBRA TPA’s.
  • Prepare enrollment materials, rate sheets, and proposals for client presentations.
  • Assist clients with billing, claims issues, portal logins, and group administration updates.
  • Prepare compliance documents such as Annual Certification Forms and Group Size Verification Forms.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, carrier updates, and new products.
  • Provide backup support to department personnel as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Prior experience in insurance or a basic understanding of benefits is required.
  • Willingness to work towards a Life and Health Insurance License is preferred, if not already held.
  • Familiarity with AMS360 is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
