Overview:
A well-established insurance agency is seeking an experienced accounting professional to assume a leadership role. This hands-on position is well-suited for someone who enjoys overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while providing guidance and support to a small team within a collaborative agency environment. The role offers an opportunity to ensure continuity, strengthen accounting processes, and contribute to long-term operational stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all accounting operations for the agency

  • Lead and support a small accounting team

  • Prepare and review producer statements and commissions

  • Manage payroll processing and related reporting

  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across financial processes

  • Partner with leadership on financial reporting and operational needs

  • Support system usage and optimization within AMS360

Qualifications:

  • Prior accounting experience within an insurance agency strongly preferred

  • Experience using AMS360 highly desirable

  • Proven ability to manage accounting functions and supervise staff

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently

  • Comfortable in a hybrid work environment with consistent in-office presence
