Mandarin Personal Lines Insurance Specialist
Job Summary
Seeking a dynamic and motivated Mandarin Personal Lines Insurance Specialist to join a growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage a book of business while driving new sales in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Mandarin, possess a strong background in personal lines insurance, and have a passion for building relationships and delivering exceptional service.
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 (higher base considered with proven performance metrics)
- Commission:
- New Business: 45% of revenue (55% for bundled home and auto policies sold on the same day)
- Renewals: 20% of revenue
- Monthly earnings will be the higher of base salary or commission.
- Expected First-Year Earnings: $65,000 - $70,000 (for above-average performance)

Responsibilities
- Manage a $1.8MM book of business, focusing on personal lines middle market (90%) and high-net-worth market (10%).
- Drive new business sales with a target of $30,000 in new business sales per month by month 4 or 5.
- Handle accounts from A-Z, including quoting new and renewal business.
- Leverage inbound leads (50%) and self-generated leads (50%) to grow the book of business.
- Cross-sell products, ask for referrals, and network to expand client base.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve sales goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Language Skills: Fluency in Mandarin is required.
- Licenses: Active Texas Property & Casualty (P&C) license.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of strong experience at an independent insurance agency, or extensive experience at a captive agency.
- Familiarity with personal lines insurance products and processes.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Applied and EZLynx software.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly over the phone.
- Sales-driven mindset with a proactive and "hustler" attitude.
- Team-oriented, upbeat, and accountable.
- Ability to network and build relationships effectively.
