Personal Lines Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Personal Lines Account Manager to join a growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment within a family-owned insurance agency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal lines insurance, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to client service.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
- Health Benefits: Medical insurance with 70% of employee costs covered; voluntary dental and vision plans available
Responsibilities
As a Personal Lines Account Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Full servicing of personal lines accounts, including policy changes, renewals, and claims assistance
- Marketing renewals and quoting new business (approximately 80% renewals, 10% new business through cross-selling and referrals)
- Managing policy change requests, such as adding or removing vehicles
- Assisting clients with claims processing and providing exceptional customer service
- Invoicing and ensuring accurate documentation of client accounts
- Working with key carriers, including Mercury, Safeco, and the California Fair Plan
Qualifications/Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Licenses/Certifications: Property & Casualty (P&C) license required
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal lines insurance, with familiarity in working with Mercury systems highly preferred
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HawkSoft or similar agency management software
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, organizational aptitude, and a personable, trainable demeanor
