Personal Lines Account Manager

 

Job Summary
Seeking an experienced and motivated Personal Lines Account Manager to join a growing team. This role is focused on providing exceptional service to clients, managing accounts from start to finish, and building lasting relationships. The Account Manager will handle new business, renewals, endorsements, and claims, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a high standard of client care.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Market new business by understanding client risk factors, preparing quotes, and presenting proposals by phone, email, or in-person.
  • Process policy changes, endorsements, and agent of record changes.
  • Identify opportunities to round out accounts by offering additional lines of coverage.
  • Conduct thorough renewal reviews, including re-marketing policies when necessary.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the quoting and renewal process.
  • Generate invoices, provide billing guidance, and ensure payments are processed in a timely manner.
  • Deliver prompt, accurate, and courteous service to clients.
  • Document all client interactions and transactions in the agency management software.
  • Track and follow up on outstanding quotes, service requests, and overdue items.
  • Communicate with carriers and brokers regarding underwriting issues and compliance needs.
  • Report claims, notify carriers, and coordinate actions to ensure timely resolution.
  • Adhere to agency guidelines and maintain up-to-date industry knowledge.
  • Participate in team meetings and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Attend carrier training sessions and local networking events to maintain professional relationships.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a retail insurance agency environment.
  • Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
  • Proficiency with agency management software required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn new software systems quickly.
