Personal Lines Sales Agent
Job Summary
Seeking a motivated and professional Personal Lines Sales Agent to join a growing team. This role is ideal for a driven individual with a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a consultative approach to sales. As a Personal Lines Sales Agent, you will play a key role in converting inbound leads, generating new business, and building strong relationships with clients. This is a hybrid position, requiring occasional in-office presence.
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $40,000 - $55,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Commissions: Competitive commission structure

Responsibilities
- Convert inbound leads and generate new business through outbound outreach and networking.
- Utilize a consultative sales approach to identify client needs and recommend appropriate insurance coverage.
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and presentations for personal insurance products, including home, auto, umbrella, and more.
- Collaborate with underwriters and the Personal Lines Manager to ensure proper account placement.
- Attend local networking events, chamber of commerce meetings, and community activities to build relationships and identify new business opportunities (may include events outside normal business hours).
- Maintain detailed and accurate records in Applied Epic and related systems.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to sales initiatives.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Current Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain within 60 days).
- 1–3 years of experience in personal lines or a related sales role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Applied Epic, and comparative rater systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional, driven, and goal-oriented mindset.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail.
- Adaptable and confident in managing both inbound and outbound sales opportunities.
