Personal Lines Insurance Specialist

Compensation Package

  • Base Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 (higher based on proven performance)
  • Commission: Whichever is higher between base salary or commission on a monthly basis
    • New Business: 45% commission (55% for bundled home and auto policies)
    • Renewals: 20% commission
  • First-Year Earnings Expectation: $65,000 - $70,000 (above-average performance)

Responsibilities

  • Manage a $1.8MM book of business, focusing on personal lines middle market (90%) and high-net-worth market (10%).
  • Drive new business sales with a monthly target of $30,000 (achievable by month 4 or 5).
  • Handle accounts from A-Z, including quoting new and renewal business.
  • Leverage inbound leads (50%) and self-generated leads (50%) to grow the book of business.
  • Cross-sell policies, ask for referrals, and network to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with the team to contribute to a positive and accountable work environment.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Licenses: Active Texas Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of strong experience at an independent agency or extensive experience at a captive agency.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Applied and EZLynx software preferred.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong phone presence and excellent communication skills.
