Senior Liability Claims Adjuster
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Liability Claims Adjuster to join a dynamic team. This role involves managing a caseload of complex, high-severity liability claims, including those with significant financial exposure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in liability claims adjusting, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of claim quality. This is a hybrid position, requiring four days in-office per week, with one remote workday of your choice.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Independently manage a caseload of complex, high-severity liability claims, including claims with six- and seven-figure exposure.
- Oversee claims from initial investigation through resolution, including coverage analysis, liability determination, and damages evaluation.
- Direct and manage defense counsel on litigated files, developing and executing effective litigation strategies.
- Conduct thorough investigations, including recorded statements, scene reviews, and coordination with experts/vendors.
- Evaluate settlement values, negotiate resolutions, and present authority requests for high-dollar claims.
- Attend mediations, settlement conferences, and trials as necessary.
- Maintain accurate reserves in compliance with carrier guidelines and actuarial expectations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including underwriting, risk management, and senior claims leadership.
- Ensure adherence to state regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior adjusters as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in liability claims adjusting.
- Proven experience handling litigated files.
- Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage issues, and relevant legal principles.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently, manage a demanding workload, and maintain focus on claim quality.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex and high-exposure claims with a commitment to resolution and customer satisfaction.
