About the Role:
A leading national insurance brokerage is seeking a highly experienced Senior Life Sciences Account Executive to join its growing Bay Area team. This is a high-visibility, client-facing role with a primary focus on being front and center at the point of sale alongside the producer. The ideal candidate will drive strategy and lead complex placements, manage high-value life sciences accounts, and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the sales and renewal process. This hybrid position includes regular in-person meetings with clients and producers throughout the Bay Area.

The ideal candidate will drive strategy and lead complex placements, manage high-value life sciences accounts, and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the sales and renewal process. This hybrid position includes regular in-person meetings with clients and producers throughout the Bay Area.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the lead client-facing placement specialist at the point of sale, working in tandem with producers to present solutions and drive new business

Lead the end-to-end placement process for complex life sciences accounts, with a strong focus on RFP responses and program design

Act as the primary advisor for key clients in the life sciences sector, delivering risk management strategy and insurance guidance

Present program structures, marketing strategies, and renewal results directly to clients and executive stakeholders

Collaborate with underwriters, producers, and internal service teams to structure innovative and competitive insurance programs

Build and maintain strong carrier relationships to ensure optimal terms and coverage for life sciences exposures

Attend in-person client and prospect meetings throughout the Bay Area (and occasionally LA/SD)

Support new business development and onboarding of large accounts

Mentor junior staff and help promote best practices across the team
Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of commercial insurance experience, with specialized expertise in life sciences accounts

Demonstrated success leading sales meetings, RFPs, and complex placements

Deep knowledge of life sciences coverages, including Clinical Trials, D&O, Product Liability, E&O, and International Programs

Strong presentation and relationship management skills, particularly with C-suite clients

Experience negotiating with major carriers in the life sciences market

California P&C license required

Familiarity with the Bay Area market preferred
Compensation & Benefits:

Base salary: $175,000–$200,000 (commensurate with experience)
