Job Summary
The Training Manager is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs focused on commercial multiline claims adjusting. This role involves creating strategies and processes that enhance claims operations and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver training materials for new and existing claims adjusters, emphasizing best practices in Commercial Multiline (BOP, Commercial Auto, GL) claims handling
- Assess current claims-adjusting workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
- Build and implement strategic processes to standardize training content, documentation, and evaluation methods
- Coordinate with subject-matter experts and cross-functional teams to ensure training aligns with regulatory requirements and organizational goals
- Monitor training effectiveness through performance metrics, feedback surveys, and periodic audits; revise curriculum as needed
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and evolving claims practices to continuously update training materials
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the insurance industry, including hands-on exposure to Commercial Multiline lines of business: BOP, Commercial Auto, and General Liability
- 1–2 years of supervisory or lead experience, such as mentoring or guiding team members, with a track record of delivering effective coaching
- Demonstrated ability to develop training programs, instructional materials, and process documentation
- Solid understanding of claims adjusting principles and compliance requirements within the Commercial Multiline space
- Proven skills in strategic thinking and process improvement, with experience translating complex concepts into clear, actionable training plans
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with previous training experience
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously
