Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join a team. This role offers a unique opportunity to transition into a Department Manager position by 2027, following a comprehensive 12-month training period. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in servicing a book of business, managing high-profile accounts, and leading a team of three professionals. This position is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in commercial insurance and a passion for leadership.

Compensation Package

  • Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 starting range, with potential for an increase upon transitioning to the Department Manager role (based on experience).

Responsibilities

  • Service and manage a mid-sized generalist commercial book of business.
  • Quote new and renewal business as required.
  • Undergo a structured 12-month training program to transition into the Department Manager role.
  • Lead and manage a team of three professionals starting in 2027.
  • Continue managing a small portfolio of high-profile accounts while overseeing the department.
  • Collaborate with the current Department Manager during the training period to ensure a seamless transition.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Licenses/Certifications: Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial insurance.
    • Leadership experience or project management experience is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with AMS360 software is preferred but not required.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong leadership potential and a desire to manage a team.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
