Commercial Lines Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a small, independent insurance agency. This role is integral to managing a generalist commercial lines book of business, supporting policy renewals, and providing exceptional service to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial lines insurance, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to client relationships. This is a full-time, in-office position with the potential for a hybrid work arrangement after one year.
Compensation Package
- Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 annually (hourly rate of $35+ per hour)

Responsibilities
- Manage a generalist commercial lines book of business, including small to mid-sized accounts (average $10,000 premium)
- Handle policy renewals and support new business submissions
- Communicate effectively with clients via phone and email
- Market accounts and obtain quotes from multiple carriers
- Prepare and submit applications, and follow up with carriers and clients
- Assist clients with service and coverage needs
- Process mid-term policy changes and endorsements
- Conduct payment follow-ups and review policies and coverages
- Verify business information and remarket accounts as needed
Qualifications/Requirements
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license in Washington State
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lines insurance or a combination of personal and commercial lines
- Experience working with multiple carriers in either a captive or independent agency setting
- Proficiency in insurance software (experience with Newton by Agency System is a plus)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, "go-getter" attitude with a focus on client satisfaction
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
- Willingness to work in-office with the potential for a hybrid arrangement after one year
