Commercial Lines Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial insurance, a deep understanding of the marketing process, and experience working in a client-focused environment. This role is well-suited for someone who thrives in a collaborative setting while maintaining strong individual accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a book of small to mid-size commercial lines accounts from start to finish
- Handle policy renewals, endorsements, audits, certificates, and day-to-day servicing
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers
- Market new and renewal business to carriers; negotiate coverage and pricing
- Prepare proposals and present coverage recommendations to clients
- Maintain accurate documentation in agency management software in accordance with agency standards
- Collaborate with producers and team members to deliver outstanding client service
- Stay current on industry trends, carrier appetite, and market changes
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in commercial lines account management
- Strong proficiency in Applied Epic is required
- Proficiency with agency management software
- Proven experience in marketing commercial accounts to carriers
- Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages (GL, Property, WC, Auto, Umbrella, etc.)
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and multitask
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a hybrid environment
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 (depending on experience)
