Commercial Lines Account Manager – Workers’ Compensation Focus

 

Compensation Package

  • Base Salary: $65,000 – $70,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Comprehensive benefits package

 

About the Role
An independent insurance brokerage is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager with a strong background in Workers’ Compensation. This role supports a large book of business with a concentration in Workers’ Compensation, along with additional commercial lines accounts across diverse industries. The position is primarily internal-facing, providing support to Brokers rather than working directly with clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day servicing of Workers’ Compensation and other commercial lines accounts
  • Act as a liaison between Brokers and all servicing required on accounts
  • Monitor and track policy renewals to ensure deadlines are met and coverage remains uninterrupted
  • Review policies, binders, and endorsements for accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate with Placement Specialists to secure quotes and binders for new and renewal business
  • Handle carrier communications regarding changes, cancellations, and compliance issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in agency management software
  • Provide consistent support to Brokers to ensure seamless execution of service deliverables
  • Stay informed on industry and carrier trends, particularly in Workers’ Compensation
  • Perform additional administrative and support duties as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Commercial Lines Account Management
  • Strong expertise in Workers’ Compensation policies and coverage structures
  • Familiarity with industry classifications and their Workers’ Compensation implications
  • Experience with agency management software preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage priorities independently
  • Professional communication skills with a solutions-focused mindset
