Licensed Commercial Lines Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a team. This role involves managing a book of middle-market accounts, with a focus on non-profit organizations, religious institutions, and similar entities. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional with a strong background in commercial property and casualty insurance, capable of delivering exceptional service to clients while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency. This is a hybrid position, offering a balance of in-office and remote work.

Compensation Package

  • Salary: Competitive compensation in the range of $80,000–$85,000+ annually (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and retain an existing book of business, ensuring client satisfaction and account growth.
  • Review and process policy renewals, new policies, and policy changes with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of commercial insurance policies to ensure accuracy, resolve coverage discrepancies, and communicate changes to carriers.
  • Address and resolve coverage questions and other client inquiries.
  • Collaborate with carriers and internal/external customers to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the renewal submission process, including preparing applications, exhibits, narratives, loss runs, and responses to underwriting questions.
  • Submit applications to appropriate carriers and follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies.
  • Perform additional duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry-related experience.
  • Valid Property and Casualty license.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in commercial multi-line property and casualty insurance.
  • Insurance designation is preferred.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a commitment to growth and quality customer service.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, delegate responsibilities, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Familiarity with AMS360 or similar systems is a plus.
