Job Summary

Seeking an experienced and dedicated Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, strengthen client relationships, and support account management processes. This position involves acting as the primary point of contact for commercial clients, addressing their needs professionally and efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, serving as the main contact for inquiries, renewals, and issues.
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients to meet their insurance needs effectively.
  • Collaborate with producers, underwriters, and carriers to secure the most suitable insurance options for clients.
  • Process policy renewals, endorsements, audits, and changes with accuracy and compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, insurance documentation, and client presentations.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling or upselling additional insurance products and services.
  • Regularly review insurance programs and recommend adjustments to ensure proper coverage for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions and account-related activities within agency management systems.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and products to provide relevant insights and advice to clients.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Account Manager, ideally in commercial insurance.
  • State Property & Casualty Insurance License (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex insurance concepts for clients.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency in insurance agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and stakeholders.

Compensation Package

  • Salary: $65k-$75k+ (depending on experience and qualifications)
