Commercial Lines Broking Leader
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and strategic Commercial Lines Broking Leader to join a team. This senior-level role is pivotal in driving optimal outcomes for clients and prospects across diverse market segments. The successful candidate will lead and orchestrate all broking activities for new and renewal business, ensuring alignment with organizational goals for client retention and growth. This position offers a hybrid work environment, requiring in-office presence three days per week.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $225,000 - $235,000 annually

Responsibilities
- Lead placement strategies with Client Advisors and Account Executives to achieve optimal outcomes for clients and prospects.
- Drive competitive coverage placement processes and negotiate effectively to meet cost, coverage, and capacity targets.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with underwriting managers, practice leaders, and business development managers of key trading partners.
- Represent the organization professionally in client and prospect meetings, including strategic planning and proposal discussions.
- Promote the utilization of strategic trading partners to ensure secure and dependable relationships.
- Collaborate with peers and national resources to comprehensively address client coverage needs.
- Manage business models in alignment with corporate KPIs.
- Lead, train, and develop a team of placement professionals across multiple locations.
- Serve as a primary source of information on market trends, pricing practices, and underwriting policies.
- Develop and implement broking practice policies and procedures to support continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to authorized workflows and standard operating procedures for consistent service delivery.
Qualifications/Requirements
- 10-15+ years of industry experience in risk management, insurance brokerage, underwriting, or carrier relationship management.
- 5-10+ years of leadership experience managing high-performing teams, including goal setting and performance reviews.
- Comprehensive understanding of national insurance brokerage operations, sales, service, and broking platforms.
- Active Property & Casualty license in NJ and/or NY.
- Preferred insurance designations such as CPCU, CIC, or ARM.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with mid-level expertise in Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional designation.
- Strong knowledge of middle-market and large account segments, property and casualty products, and alternative risk structures.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
