Job Title: Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR) (Remote - NY Only)

Location: Fully Remote (New York State Residents Only)
Compensation: 50-70k base 


About the Role:

Seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join a remote team. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, detail-oriented insurance professional who thrives in a fast-paced independent agency environment and enjoys taking ownership of both service and sales-related tasks. This is not an entry-level role. Candidates must reside in New York State, have a minimum of 7 years of commercial lines experience, and be fully comfortable working independently from home.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming calls from prospective and existing clients regarding commercial insurance policies

  • Gather and verify information necessary to quote and bind coverage

  • Work directly with multiple carriers to quote, bind, and service accounts

  • Proactively manage a book of business ranging from small businesses up to $100,000 in premium

  • Make outbound calls to clients and carriers to follow up on quotes, renewals, and service requests

  • Provide exceptional customer service and problem resolution

  • Document all activity in Applied Epic system accurately and promptly

  • Maintain knowledge of commercial lines products including excess & surplus lines

  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and carrier guidelines


Requirements:

  • Must reside in New York State (This position is remote but state-restricted)

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in commercial lines insurance, including E&S

  • At least 2 years of Applied Epic agency management software experience

  • Prior experience in a mid-sized independent agency

  • Comfortable working with multiple insurance carriers

  • Strong phone communication skills – must be proactive in calling clients and carriers

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

  • High level of organization, accountability, and attention to detail

  • Must be tech-savvy and able to manage workflow in a digital/remote setting

  • Licensed P&C Agent in NY
