Employee Benefits Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to join a growing team. This role is pivotal in managing mid-market accounts, ranging from 20 to 200 lives, with a strong focus on self-funded accounts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in employee benefits management, excellent communication skills, and a detail-oriented approach to client service. Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 (based on experience)
  • Benefits:
    • 100% coverage for health, dental, and vision insurance
    • 401(k) with company match

Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of business, including health, dental, vision, and voluntary benefits accounts.
  • Handle renewals, presentations, open enrollment, and benefit design.
  • Provide exceptional service to clients, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
  • Work on self-funded accounts with some fully insured accounts as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Employee Benefits Department Manager and team to divide accounts based on experience.
  • Utilize software tools, such as Epic, to manage accounts effectively.
  • Assist with quoting new and renewal business, with a primary focus on renewals.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Account Manager or Customer Service Representative in the employee benefits field.
  • Proven experience managing self-funded accounts is required.
  • Life and Health License is required.
  • Proficiency in using Epic software is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work full-time in-office, with the possibility of one remote workday per week.
