Employee Benefits Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to join a team. This role is integral to supporting the key accounts and serving as the primary point of contact for clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee benefits, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate with a sense of urgency in a client-facing environment. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a balance between in-office and remote work.

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience
  • Competitive benefits package, 401(k), paid time off, professional development opportunities, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned strategic accounts
  • Collaborate with Senior Account Executives to support key accounts
  • Manage a book of business with approximately 350 clients
  • Assist with open enrollment processes and meeting preparation
  • Work closely with Account Coordinators or Specialists to handle backend tasks such as RFPs and RFQs
  • Provide exceptional client service and maintain strong client relationships
  • Operate with a sense of urgency and professionalism in all client interactions

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as an Employee Benefits Account Manager
  • Proficiency in software systems such as Zywave or Broker Builder
  • Strong knowledge of the local market and carrier experience
  • Experience working with public sector clients, specifically school districts, is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, results-focused environment
