Employee Benefits Senior Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee Benefits Senior Account Manager to join a dynamic and growing team. This role is pivotal in supporting Account Executives and managing mid-market accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee benefits, brokerage experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide behind-the-scenes support to Account Executives, ensuring seamless account management.
  • Manage mid-market accounts (100-500 lives) with a focus on fully insured and self-funded plans.
  • Develop a deep understanding of assigned accounts and gradually take ownership of a book of business within 6-8 months.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist in client meetings and discussions as needed, supporting Account Executives in delivering exceptional service.
  • Utilize and adapt to company systems, including BenefitPoint (transitioning to Epic in 2026).

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Licenses: Active Life & Health (L&H) license required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4-5 years in employee benefits, with a background in a brokerage setting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in managing accounts from start to finish; bilingual candidates are preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with BenefitPoint or similar systems is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, adaptability, and a client-focused mindset.
