General Liability Claims Team Lead

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Liability Claims Team Lead to join a claims department. This role involves overseeing a team of adjusters handling general liability claims, including both litigated and non-litigated matters. Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of adjusters handling general liability claims, including property damage, errors and omissions, and non-litigated bodily injury claims.
  • Ensure appropriate claim handling, decision-making, and adherence to company best practices.
  • Review and edit positional correspondence and oversee escalated claim reviews.
  • Collaborate with in-house counsel to interpret policy coverages and jurisdictional impacts.
  • Conduct training for new team members and provide continuous coaching and support.
  • Perform employee performance reviews and administrative tasks associated with team management.
  • Identify subrogation potential or fraud alerts and make appropriate referrals.
  • Participate in large loss and litigated matter reviews with Claims Supervisors and at Roundtable meetings.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience handling general liability claims.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing litigated matters.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
  • Active adjuster licenses (home state license preferred; FL or TX is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of insurance coverage and policy analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Supervisory experience is highly preferred.
