Personal Lines Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join a dynamic and growing team. This role is pivotal in providing exceptional service to clients by managing a diverse book of business, including Middle Market and Private Client accounts. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in personal lines insurance, a proactive approach to client service, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and service an assigned book of business, including day-to-day inquiries, renewals, and remarketing.
- Prepare applications, obtain necessary documents (e.g., MVRs, inspections), and re-market accounts as needed.
- Quote and rate new and renewal business for account rounding and remarketing purposes.
- Process endorsements, cancellations, and other policy changes in coordination with insureds, carriers, and other stakeholders.
- Address client questions, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information in accordance with company procedures.
- Collaborate with underwriters and maintain direct communication to ensure optimal client solutions.
- Stay informed about market trends, new products, and changes in coverage options.
- Support claims processing by gathering and transmitting necessary information to carriers.
- Solicit additional coverage opportunities and expiration dates from existing clients.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in personal lines insurance at an independent agency.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Applied EPIC software preferred.
- Account Knowledge: Familiarity with both Private Client and standard accounts. Experience with carriers such as Chubb, AIG, Cincinnati, Vault, Pure, Travelers, Safeco, Progressive, Nationwide, Sagesure, Swyfft, The Hartford, and Mercury is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and a client-focused mindset.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or training in insurance is a plus.
