Personal Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Personal Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional service while addressing their personal insurance needs. This role involves building long-lasting relationships with clients, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a seamless experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and the agency, answering inquiries regarding personal insurance policies, coverage options, billing, and claims.
  • Provide prompt, professional, and courteous service to clients via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Educate clients on available insurance products and services, ensuring they have the coverage best suited to their individual needs.
  • Assist with policy changes, renewals, cancellations, and claims processing in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain and update client records in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales and underwriting teams to provide recommendations and solutions that align with client needs.
  • Handle complaints, feedback, or challenging situations with professionalism and empathy to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Stay current with industry trends, insurance products, and relevant regulations to provide informed and accurate support.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in customer service, preferably in the personal lines insurance sector.
  • Skills Required:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on active listening and problem-solving.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with insurance management software is preferred.
    • High attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-driven and client-centric organization.
  • Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license or willingness to obtain.
