We’re looking for a Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager to join the team at a dynamic independent insurance agency. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys building long-term client relationships while managing complex accounts with precision and care.
🧾 Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Leadership: Act as the strategic advisor and primary point of contact for mid to large-sized commercial clients, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery while maintaining trusted, long-term partnerships.

Policy Oversight: Manage all facets of policy administration including quoting, binding, endorsements, certificates, audits, and renewals across multiple carriers and lines of coverage.

Risk and Coverage Consulting: Analyze client exposures and provide expert-level guidance on appropriate coverage strategies, policy structures, exclusions, and emerging risks.

Record Management & Compliance: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation within the agency management system, ensuring all activities are properly logged and compliant with regulatory standards.

Producer Collaboration: Partner with producers and senior leadership to support business development efforts and strategic account planning for new and existing clients.

Client Education: Deliver proactive guidance and clarity on insurance programs, audit processes, and risk management solutions to empower informed decision-making.
📌 Qualifications and Skills

Licensing: Active Property & Casualty insurance license required.

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial lines account management, preferably within an independent agency setting. Experience with complex or middle market accounts strongly preferred.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in agency management systems such as Applied Epic or AMS360, and skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex insurance topics clearly and professionally.

Organizational Excellence: Highly detail-oriented with strong time management skills; adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to identify coverage gaps and resolve client issues quickly and accurately.
