Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auto Adjuster to join our claims department. As an Auto Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving auto insurance claims in alignment with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. You will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service to insured parties, claimants, and vendors while ensuring an efficient claims process. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for problem-solving, excellent negotiation skills, and a focus on achieving effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, and process auto insurance claims in a timely, fair, and efficient manner.
- Conduct interviews with claimants, witnesses, and other involved parties to gather relevant information.
- Assess damages by reviewing photos, repair estimates, and other relevant documentation.
- Collaborate with repair shops, appraisers, and vendors to ensure accurate claim resolutions.
- Determine coverage, liability, and settlement amounts according to policy terms and company guidelines.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of claim activities in the claims management system.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with claimants professionally and empathetically.
- Negotiate claim resolutions with claimants and/or their representatives, ensuring fairness and transparency.
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and best practices related to claims adjusting.
- Communicate claim recommendations effectively to management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Current and valid Claims Adjuster license (or the ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).
- Strong knowledge of auto insurance principles, practices, and policy interpretation.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with careful attention to detail.
- Analytical and negotiation skills to effectively resolve claims disputes.
- Proficiency in claims management systems and other relevant technology platforms.
- Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and acting in an ethical manner at all times.
- Previous experience in auto claims adjusting or a related role.
Compensation Package
- Compensation: Between $70K-$95K (based on experience).
