Job Summary

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, delivering exceptional client service, and fostering long-term relationships with our clients. You will work collaboratively with clients, carriers, and internal teams to ensure the effective management of policies, provide expert recommendations, and support the growth of our organization. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining ongoing client relationships.
  • Analyze client needs, provide risk management advice, and recommend suitable insurance coverage options tailored to meet their specific business requirements.
  • Manage the end-to-end renewal process, including preparing submissions, negotiating coverage terms with carriers, and presenting solutions to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to handle endorsements, policy changes, claims inquiries, and billing issues promptly and accurately.
  • Assist clients with policy reviews, ensuring appropriate coverage levels and compliance with contractual or regulatory requirements.
  • Actively pursue opportunities for client growth, cross-selling, and upselling additional services or coverages to support the business' objectives.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, insurance products, and regulatory changes to maintain expertise and provide thought leadership to clients and colleagues.
  • Ensure all client records are accurately maintained in the company’s CRM system and adhere to established processes and timelines.
  • Support the development and execution of operational strategies and team initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and process efficiency.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in commercial lines insurance account management or a similar role - preferred.
  • Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
  • Strong understanding of commercial property, general liability, workers’ compensation, and professional liability insurance policies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong, trusting client relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities; ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using agency management software.
  • Proven ability to solve client challenges, demonstrate critical thinking, and offer creative, client-centric solutions.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience working directly with insurance carriers to secure favorable terms.
