Benefits Advocate
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Benefits Advocate to join a growing team. As a Benefits Advocate, you will play a vital role in supporting the clients by coordinating employee benefits, answering inquiries, and ensuring seamless communication with insurance carriers. Compensation Package
- Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 annually, based on experience.
- Benefits:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Reimbursement for training to obtain Life & Health (L&H) license, if not already licensed.
- Location: Fully in-office position.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, addressing questions about coverage, billing, and eligibility.
- Process enrollments, terminations, and benefit changes accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers to resolve client issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Answer phone inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Update policies and manage claims as needed.
- Assist during renewal seasons by preparing documents and supporting the team.
- Maintain a small book of business, coordinating employee benefit packets and assisting clients with their personal benefits.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education & Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in employee benefits, insurance, healthcare, or human resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with Salesforce is preferred but not required.
- Licenses:
- Life & Health (L&H) license preferred. Candidates without a license must be willing to obtain one (training and reimbursement provided).
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
- Work Environment:
- Must be comfortable working in a dog-friendly, family-oriented office environment.
- Willingness to collaborate with a team of Benefits Advocates and shadow seasoned team members during the training period.
