Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Benefits Advocate to join a growing team. As a Benefits Advocate, you will play a vital role in supporting the clients by coordinating employee benefits, answering inquiries, and ensuring seamless communication with insurance carriers. Compensation Package

  • Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 annually, based on experience.
  • Benefits:
    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
    • Reimbursement for training to obtain Life & Health (L&H) license, if not already licensed.
  • Location: Fully in-office position.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, addressing questions about coverage, billing, and eligibility.
  • Process enrollments, terminations, and benefit changes accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers to resolve client issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Answer phone inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Update policies and manage claims as needed.
  • Assist during renewal seasons by preparing documents and supporting the team.
  • Maintain a small book of business, coordinating employee benefit packets and assisting clients with their personal benefits.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
    • 1-2 years of experience in employee benefits, insurance, healthcare, or human resources.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
    • Experience with Salesforce is preferred but not required.
  • Licenses:
    • Life & Health (L&H) license preferred. Candidates without a license must be willing to obtain one (training and reimbursement provided).
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work Environment:
    • Must be comfortable working in a dog-friendly, family-oriented office environment.
    • Willingness to collaborate with a team of Benefits Advocates and shadow seasoned team members during the training period.
