Middle Market Commercial Lines Producer

Job Summary

Seeking a dynamic and results-driven Middle Market Commercial Lines Producer to join a well-established independent insurance agency. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong background in B2B sales and a passion for building lasting client relationships. The primary focus will be on middle-market accounts, with opportunities to write a wide range of business lines. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, competitive compensation, and the chance to work with a robust carrier network.

Compensation Package

  • Base Salary: $20,000 ongoing producer salary.
  • Commission Structure:
    • 40% on new business.
    • 30% on renewal business.
    • Commission guarantee of $5,000 per month for the first two years (adjustable based on experience).

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and community involvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and business partners.
  • Quote and manage new and renewal business accounts.
  • Expand existing accounts by identifying additional coverage needs.
  • Actively participate in community events and networking efforts to enhance visibility and generate leads.
  • Collaborate with the management team and leverage inbound leads to meet production goals.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Experience:
    • 3–5 years of B2B sales experience preferred.
    • Insurance experience is a plus but not required.
  • Licensure:
    • Property & Casualty (P&C) license.
  • Skills:
    • Strong sales and business development skills with a "hunter" mentality.
    • Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with HawkSoft or similar agency management systems is a plus.
