Job Summary
Seeking a dynamic, results-driven Commercial Producer - Middle Market to join a team. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by building strong client relationships, providing tailored insurance solutions, and expanding presence in the middle market space. The ideal candidate is an experienced insurance producer with a proven track record in commercial insurance brokering and a passion for providing exceptional client service.
Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with middle-market business clients to understand their unique insurance needs and provide customized solutions.
- Business Development: Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities in the middle-market segment, contributing to the growth of agency revenue.
- Policy Expertise: Understand and analyze various insurance policies to match client needs, including general liability, property, workers’ compensation, and industry-specific coverages.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and carriers to negotiate terms, secure competitive pricing, and advocate on behalf of clients to obtain the best possible insurance solutions.
- Customer Service Excellence: Provide clients with consistent support, including answering inquiries, managing renewals, and processing policy changes. Ensure timelines and client expectations are met.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to offer informed recommendations and maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Effectively manage the sales process, from lead generation to closing, leveraging CRM tools to track prospects and opportunities.
- Community Engagement: Represent the company in community and industry events to foster rapport, build a network, and enhance brand presence and reputation.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a producer or broker in the commercial insurance space, preferably in the middle-market sector.
- Licensure: Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record of hitting or surpassing sales quotas, with exceptional negotiation and deal-closing capabilities.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial lines coverages, insurance carriers, and industry-specific needs in the middle market.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively connect with diverse stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess risk exposures and recommend adequate coverage options.
- Technology Skills: Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and virtual meeting platforms.
