Employee Benefits Producer
Job Summary
Seeking a motivated and experienced Employee Benefits Producer to join a team. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with a strong background in employee benefits sales or B2B consultative selling. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing new business, managing client relationships, and growing a book of business. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of active community engagement and networking.
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $20,000 ongoing producer salary.
- Guaranteed Commission: Typically $5,000 per month for the first 2–3 years, adjustable based on experience.
- Commission Structure: Competitive percentages on benefits business, with potential for higher earnings based on product mix.
- Benefits: Competitive benefits package, 401(k), paid time off, medical, vision, short-term and long-term disability insurance, professional development opportunities, etc.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies for new business development in the employee benefits sector.
- Actively prospect, network, and build relationships within the local market.
- Provide consultative selling solutions tailored to client needs.
- Manage renewals and ensure client satisfaction to foster long-term partnerships.
- Leverage internal resources and leads to maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain visibility in the community through active participation in networking events.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience:
- 3–5 years of B2B sales experience required.
- Employee benefits sales experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills:
- Strong consultative selling and relationship development abilities.
- Proven track record in prospecting and new business development.
- Licensure:
- Active L&H (Life and Health) insurance license.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with HawkSoft software is a plus.
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule with a requirement for community engagement and in-person networking.
