Middle Market Commercial Lines Account Manager
Job Summary
A motivated and detail-oriented Middle Market Commercial Lines Account Manager is needed to manage a portfolio of middle-market commercial clients, foster strong client relationships, and ensure exceptional service delivery. The primary focus will be handling day-to-day account management, analyzing client needs, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to offer tailored insurance solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial clients, maintaining strong, trust-based relationships.
- Analyze and evaluate the insurance needs, coverage, and risk management strategies for middle-market businesses.
- Prepare and present insurance policy proposals, renewals, endorsements, and coverage recommendations in a professional and client-focused manner.
- Coordinate with insurance carriers and underwriters to negotiate terms, pricing, and coverage.
- Proactively monitor and manage client accounts to ensure policies are current, accurate, and properly documented.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, claims, and customer service professionals, to meet or exceed client expectations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market changes to provide up-to-date information and recommendations to clients.
- Assist with onboarding new clients and handle day-to-day servicing requests efficiently and professionally.
- Actively participate in team meetings, training opportunities, and company improvement initiatives.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager or in a similar account management role, preferably in middle-market insurance.
- Strong knowledge of commercial property, liability, and other commercial insurance products and coverage solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients, projects, and competing priorities with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build trust with clients and colleagues.
- Expertise in using CRM systems, agency management platforms, and other insurance-related software tools.
- Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address client needs proactively.
- Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
